This summer, three new wineries in the area have opened for business.
The Hartland Winery in Ashley, Indiana has been a long time coming. Winemaker Alan Lockhart planted his first vineyard and started making wine about 10 years ago. It opened May 23. The winery prides itself for making “small batch and handcrafted” wine and by doing so offer about 10 different types of vino, ranging in price from $10-16.
